Lilly Grants

for Scientific Associations

Lilly Canada’s grants program provides funding for not-for-profit scientific associations, university-affiliated associations, and hospital foundations that promote excellence in disease awareness and scientific innovation for optimal patient care.

Due to the limited availability of resources*, only a select number of recipients will be awarded grants, according to the applicants’ merit and alignment with one or more of the therapeutic areas listed below:

  • Diabetes
  • Autoimmune disorders (rheumatology and dermatology)
  • Oncology (breast, gastrointestinal system and soft tissue sarcoma)

*While we have specific annual funding amounts for each therapeutic area, these allocations may be awarded in full before the end of each year. We are no longer accepting applications in oncology this year, as the total allocation has already been awarded.

Consistent with a mandate to promote excellence in disease awareness and scientific innovation, our goal is to support the overall mission of an organization (not singular events or initiatives). We support missions that help improve the quality of patient care, health care, health care delivery and public health.

  • Support for single, one-day events (e.g., consumer expos and workshops)
  • Capital expenditures (e.g., purchasing equipment, facility upgrades) and salaries)
  • Requests from organizations to support educational workshops for health care professionals
  • Requests from individuals to attend conferences and seminars
